Design a Floral Tablescape (8/28)
Thursday, August 28th, 5-8:30pm at Twin Cities Flower Exchange (341 NE Wilson St., MPLS)
Elevate your dinner parties and holiday decorations with a workshop on Floral Tablescape Design! Combining instruction on arranging a statement centerpiece with tips for (deceptively tricky) bud vases, you’ll end this workshop with a ready-to-display beautiful and cohesive tablescape, and feeling inspired and well-equipped to design more in the future. Previous experience with floral design isn’t necessary— this class will help you harness and execute your unique creative vision, no matter your familiarity with florals.
Hosted at Twin Cities Flower Exchange in NE Mpls. All materials provided, plus refreshments and hearty snacks to fuel your creativity!
We’ll begin with an overview of color theory and design principles, applicable to all sizes and shapes of flower arrangements. Participants will learn how to build unique and eye-catching centerpieces, as well as how to assemble complementary bud vases where less is more! Elle will provide examples of different styles of centerpieces, bud vases, and tablescape vibes, guiding participants in identifying their design preferences.
Peruse the flower buffet for late summer favorites like zinnias, celosia, and dahlias, and learn how to integrate unexpected ingredients such as garden produce and foraged goodies! Choose vases from a wide selection provided, or bring your own. Take home your completed tablescape just in time for Labor Day cookouts or a big family dinner at the cabin!
